We know of no such dado pattern at present on any of the four walls or arch bases in the Sala de las Dos Hermanas. Jones' pattern may have been once located in one or the other of the two side chambers off the Sala, but the walls in these are now completely blank. The pattern here is coloured as from the version which appeared in the Great Exhibition.
Geometry
- The symmetry group of the tiling is *442 (p4m).
- All the internal angles of the constituent polygons are a multiple of 45°.
- Contains 12 squares.
- Contains three regular 8-pointed star polygons with vertex angle of 90°.
- There are three non-regular reflective tiles.
- The tiling does not satisfy the two-colour condition.
- The tiling is edge-to-edge.
- As drawn, contains about 425 polygons.
